2010 Awards

The 2010 Engineer's Week Banquet will be held on February 18, in the new University Center at University of the Pacific.  The cost is $39 in advance (before Feb. 8th), $45 (between Feb. 8th to Feb. 15th) and $50 at the door. Parking will be north of Grace Covell in the University of the Pacific campus, see Map of Pacific Campus.

2010 Student Scholarships

The 2010 Engineers Week Banquet will be held at the University of the Pacific. The banquet is an opportunity for local engineers, allied professionals and interested people to gather and celebrate the engineering profession.

During the festivities, scholarships will be awarded to eight high school seniors who are pursing an engineering education. Their acceptance speeches are always quite entertaining.

Following the scholarships the Distinguished Service Award and the Engineer of the Year awards were presented.   As always, the recipients acceptance speeches were interesting.

Tom DeLaMare

Each year the participating Engineering Societies nominate candidates who have given freely of their time and services for the benefit of their profession and the community to receive the Engineer of the Year Award. In order to be considered as a candidate the nominee must have an engineering educational and posses a License to practice engineering.  Each year since 1967 the San Joaquin Engineers Council has granted this award.

A committee of past recipients of the Award makes the final selection. The Engineer of the Year is honored the SJEC Awards Banquet.

The 2010 Engineer of the Year is Tom Delamare of  DeLaMare-Fultz Engineering & Surveying  in Modesto.

Roger Crawford

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who have given freely of their time and services for the benefit of the engineering profession and the community.

The 2010  Distinguished Service Award recipient is Roger Crawford an instructor at San Joaquin Delta College.
